The club members have been VERY active this year between the last below recorded trip and and at the time of writing 2 days before Christmas 2006,  I have been exceptionally busy in work, too busy in fact to properly maintain the website.

trip description This was a trip into this remarkable cave by Judith Spring and Tony Bond. Not too many people have ventured into this highly decorated cave due to the fact that the entrance is wet and VERY tight.

trip description  Excellent trip to the Indianna Highway rifts. It is the first time that Dave & Tony have caved together other than when both involved on rescues. It makes a nice change for both to cave socially in a relaxed atmosphere!

trip description  This was intended as an introduction to the round trip for Owen's grandson, but he daft chap injured his ankle playing football. It ended up as the annual geriatrics' outing with the combined age of the four greater than the whole of the visiting Manchester Uni students at Penwyllt !
Shawn was the "baby" of the party!
The mainstream was high and cold, so we did the flood route up and back and poked around in a few knooks & Grannies.  (oops - CRANNIES !).

trip description  The return for the round trip missed last weekend following the high water in mainstream. This week was successful with a full round trip up mainstream and the flood escape route over the wire traverses and back to mainstream. Another forage was then made upstream to another escape route via a chain and wire traverse for Tony & Shawn to familiarize themselves with all the escape routes in readiness for both to apply for leaderships! The trip was followed by a visit to Dinas rock for a spot of abseiling and climbing. Another good weekend!

trip description  Intended as a round trip up mainstream returning via Flood route, it was decided in view of fast water to use the flood route via the wire traverse and as far as the bedding plane crawl towards Lowes chamber and return, visiting many side passages on the way. Excellent trip!

trip description   What was intended as a mass club trip was cut down to just Shawn & Tony due to illness. Originally intended as a trip towards  the Nunnery led by Tony, the destination was changed to Gilwern passage on grounds of safety in that Shawn has not yet ventured into this direction, and with only two in the party, it gave him the opportunity to lead into a part of the cave that he has only visited once before.

trip description   Entrance series to Cairn junction then left to main passage past big bang pitch then onto the Fly cemetery. Retuning to cairn junction a detour was then made via wonder bra and hanging death, to T junction and up to Gilwern passage as far as the St Giles shirt formation.

trip description   OFD 2 double round trip starting at the Ogof Y Nos Hir top entrance via white arch series, Chasm Passage, (Owens) big wriggly passage,  Arete Chamber and back to entrance, then via climbable aven to mini columns and back to white arch passage.

trip description  This was intended as a tourist trip to the Hall of the Mountain King & return, however, due to a predicted heavy snowfall arriving earlier than expected, the trip was cut short and terminated at the 2nd boulder choke. As it turned out, it was a wise decision, the journey home being very slow and hazardous

trip description  OFD 2 round trip starting at the Ogof Y Nos Hir top entrance down into Gnome passage, then into Edwards shortcut and on to Shatter pillar.  Visiting frozen river before traversing over the exposed crossroads to visit Trident passage and the "judge" formation. Back up through Salubrious passage to complete the round trip by rejoining Gnome passage and back to the entrance
